Speaker: Holly Riker
A graduate of Wichita State University, majoring in marketing and communications, Holly has been working with Hot Pink Ink since 1994. She has been instrumental in a number of successful public relations campaigns, coordination, creation, refurbishment, and management of national, regional, and local brands and campaigns. Holly serves as the primary account executive and planner for the South Dakota Department of Health Tobacco Control Program, Healthy South Dakota Nutrition and Physical Activity Program, the Maternal Child Health Program, and the Opiate Abuse and Misuse Prevention public education campaign. Prevention has been the focus of her work for the last 10 years.

Holly will present on various important components to implementing a successful prevention media campaign, including: important differences between commercial marketing vs. health marketing; the importance of understanding your audience and how different generations receive information. Additionally, she will talk about inclusion and collaboration; how to determine if you campaign is working; and ways to sustain your campaign efforts.
