Understand the cancer risk associated with alcohol use, and multiplicative cancer risk of dual alcohol and tobacco use.
Summarize the results of the COMBAT initiative: a multi-site study examining if a clinical decision support systems (CDSSs) facilitate practitioners’ delivering a brief alcohol intervention to smokers who drink.
Discuss the implications of COMBAT findings for STOP practitioners and patients.
